14th Annual Chicken Wing Competition

Epilepsy Waterloo-Wellington's 14th annual chicken wing competition was a saucy success! Shananagan's played a fabulous set as the crowd flowed into the St. George banquet hall in Waterloo, greeting friends, bidding on silent auction items and learning about epilepsy.

Many were more than happy to paint their thumb nails purple for the Thumbs Up campaign to help spread awareness and support those with epilepsy.

Brian Bourke from KOOL FM brought the fun as the night's MC, as guests sampled the delicious wing flavours from the five competing restaurants: Wings Up!, Benny's Family Restaurant, Silver Tip Lounge at Chicopee, Conestoga College Culinary Institute and Bobby O'Brien's.

The night was a huge success with close to 300 attendees, raising over $24,000!!!, all in support of epilepsy awareness and Epilepsy Waterloo-Wellington.

A super huge thank you to all involved from our great volunteers, enthusiastic board members, generous sponsors and donors, convivial judges, Shanangan's and Brian Bourke. We had a great time hosting and look forward to Chicken Wing 2014.
